What this site is
AutomationFlex builds software for local service businesses. This site describes what we make. Nothing on it is an offer to enter a contract by itself; work is agreed directly, in writing, before it starts.
The roof price is an estimate
This matters more than anything else on this page. The widget produces a price range from a remote measurement of a roof, using aerial imagery and the contractor's own prices per square. It is an indication of cost, not a quote, not a contract, and not a survey.
Imagery can be out of date. A roof can have damage, layers, decking problems or access difficulties that no aerial measurement can see. The real price is the one the contractor gives after they have looked at the roof, and it can differ from the range shown. Neither the contractor nor AutomationFlex is bound by the figure the widget displays.
Where a roof is flat, commercial, unusually large or otherwise outside what can be measured reliably, the widget says so and asks the contractor to price it by hand instead of showing a number.
Who you are dealing with
When the widget appears on a roofing contractor's website, the job, the inspection and any work that follows are between the homeowner and that contractor. We provide the tool. We do not carry out roofing work, do not employ or supervise contractors, and do not guarantee their work.
For contractors using the widget
- You set your own prices per square, your service area and your branding, and you are responsible for them being right.
- You are responsible for what you do with the enquiries it sends you, including contacting people who ask not to be contacted again.
- We aim to keep the service available and will tell you when something is wrong with it, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.
- Either side can stop. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
Acceptable use
Do not use the widget or this site to submit other people's details without their knowledge, to probe or overload the service, or to break the law. We can withdraw access where that happens.
Liability
We do not limit liability for anything the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, we are not liable for work carried out by a contractor, for a price differing from an estimate, or for indirect losses.
